    Cuda Sport Hood

I have a really nice 1970 twin bulge hood for sale. No dents, very straight, nice Limelight green. It's listed on the Cincinnati Craigslist auto parts. Firm prices: $550 for the hood, $50 for the 340 emblems. Thanks, http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/pts/4440071811.html

    440 and Edelbrock heads.

Thanks. I haven't had the 452s pulled yet so I don't know what the piston surface shape is. All the Mopar mechanics here are booked up and I'm inexperienced in quench, etc. I've heard mixed reviews on Edelbrock heads but my original purpose was to cure valve float at 5,000 rpm. Hoping the Eddys...

    440 and Edelbrock heads.

Feedback please! 440, .040 over, M1 intake and Holley 750. Lunati hyd cam, 727 to 410 Dana. Ross pistons. Wanna replace 452 heads with Edelbrock RPM Performers, 84cc. Looking for your take on the swap. Thanks.

    Stutter at 5600 rpm

Yeah Dave, I agree that mid 12 s is reasonable. The 70 block has a nice lower assembly; Ross pistons, forged rods... I found a 7000 rpm pill on the MSD box so that isn't the problem. I know the alternator isn't healthy. But sure runs sweet up to 5400 rpm. Just bought an engine for the Eddy...

    Stutter at 5600 rpm

Thanks Charles. No box but I'll check my dist model to see if its rev limiter equipped. I've heard some people say they like 452s. But a vacuum test should tell if springs need upgraded. I'll check soon. greg

Thanks, guys. The you tube videos are ok. No substitute for a mentor though. Guess I'll try the Ford DVD to see if its any good.

    Stutter at 5600 rpm

Thanks for the help guys. First, not too lean. Second, stock 452 heads and innards. Third, I have msd distributer and coil. Could a limiter be in dist? Also have aftermarket tach. There? , . Fourth, Cable seems correct. Fifth, no changes since I bought it last fall. And its only after 5500...

Cazbah (cool handle), I'm meeting our local Mopar builder Friday. I'll get back to you on those points. Thanks.

    Stutter at 5600 rpm

Stock 452 heads, Lunati .480 hyd cam, bought it already built. I think the stall is around 2800 . i disagree tho, about the twelves. Engine builders here say definitely so. If it does a 13.05 at 100 mph 100 yards short of the quarter but floats, it should easily drop a second if its figured out...

I have some of the books and they are good. Guess I'm looking for a watch me do it type of resource. The DVD I mentioned is on eBay, how to build big block Fords.

I've been looking for DVD's on rebuilding a 440. No luck yet. But one guy said he had them for big block Ford engines. What do you guys think? Would there be enough meat in that DVD set to relate to a 440? Or is it not worth the time? :icon_scratch:
