So I could use a little help in this area. I have an original 383 four barell, sublime green rt. Does anyone have a diagram for the rear tail stripe and hood paint so I can make sure they get put back on correctly. What I'm looking for is the correct placment or som sort of a guide to give too my paint guy. Any help is welcome.

Good morning. I should have specified erlyer, 1970 challenger sublime green 383.

Thanks for the diagram the rear tail stripe one is exactly what I need. I don't see any dimensions or I'm not understanding it. What I think I need is how thick is the pin stripe how large is the gap and how far do I take the the large stripe up the back of the trunk deck. I'm trying to make it as correct as possible.

I'm also looking for the top hood paint. I need some kind of a guide or template that outlines the the areas in-between the snorkels and how far back do I take it on the hood.

Thanks again for your help guys.

The dimensions are there in the drawing Moparleo supplied. Section A-A has the pin stripe as .20" wide and the gap at .25" wide. The width of the main stripe is encoded in detail Z - 134.00-128.85=5.15". They're not easy drawings to interpret until you've stared at them long enough.

I see it now in the diagram, you're right it's hard to see. Thank you.

As for the hood. Is it sacrilegious to paint the hood in. I didn't know better but I've seen it both ways. What is is the best path.

It's your car, you can do it how you want. I've never investigated it, but with all the big hood decals on the newer Challengers and Jeep Trailhawks, seems to me there's a lot of places that could install the hood decal for a good price.

I painted the blackout hood on mine. I actually extended it to the back of the hood all the way to the cowl.
