I used the Caswell kit, but i didn't have the good results like pictured above, between the bolt and washer it turned a rusty color, i thought i had followed the directions, for the price of the kit i found it didn't do very many bolts before it wore out (maybe 20) i went back to just thinning...

My 73 318 has no shroud either, like you i always thought there should be, and that someone broke and threw it out!

Those rubber mats look nice, but the water never dries, i have one but don't have it in the car.

No kidding!!!! The prices on stuff are so outrageous!!! Everything is double !! Not sure how everyone affords all this, companies just raise their prices and pass it along to us, my wages have not gone up to compensate!!!

Maybe do it the other way around, get paint all done, then get the car back less front fenders, hood, front grille bumpers etc. Put in your engine, trans.

It was just a accident, i took a picture of the roof and didn't see till after the reflection, the lights are on the ceiling, the pictures and plate are on the wall, wife sees them fine, and she looks better than that, so it doesn't bother her like all the rest of you who are scared of their wives 😁

25k seems about right to me, as thats about what I paid, and seems like everything has doubled in the last year, i had a similar car done back in the late 90's for 8k. This is a reflection off the roof of the wall and ceiling in my shop;

Not sure if its just this hobby or all hobbies, but i have been 🪛🔩 over so many times by vendors and other people its really a wonder i even like cars anymore! Mitchell motor parts, brought a car in for restoration they lost my engine, ( almost lost the whole car, had to track it down)...
