Mineralization on 55 year old back windshield

The back windshield has been in car forever. That mineralization on the glass is from the stainless moldings. I guess it shouldn't be called stainless. What product is good to take this off. Used acytone, fantastic, and tried wd40. Any suggestions

You might try 0000 steel wool, it definitely won't hurt the glass.

No coarser than 0000....ask me how I know. Cerium Oxide helps too. You can buy it a glass shops as CRL Sparkle.

Thanks, I believe I got it conquered. Took different approaches, and a lot of muscle.

Try some vinegar.

I used the steel wool along with some vinegar on difficult spots. I used a razor blade very carefully to scrape the stubborn deposits that the steel wool couldn't get.

Razor blade always works great for cleaning windows.
Paint thinner, lacquer thinner then xylol/xylene.

My 2 cents anyway.
