There is a photo of a T/A with a sunroof in the E body sunroof cars thread started by sdweatherman on this site and most of the sunroof cars have power windows. There are some options not available but power windows and column shift are not on that list so they could be out there.
...in Australia. I hope you are able to get that car out once in awhile to some local/regional shows. Yes, about 99% of the early Mopar power sunroof cars did not have the option code on the fender tag. Most cars did have a special VON on the fender tag that indicates it as a sunroof car, but I...
Hi Scott the 1970 B5 blue sunroof Challenger is now in Western Australia I bought it about 2 years ago found it on carsonline.com the seller also had it listed on Ebay but ended the auction when I enquired about it. Highly optioned with power windows, power steering, cruise control, power disc...
Bump - Finished up the 1970 Challengers that I have run across so far. I will update these pamphlets periodically as more sunroof cars come to light. If you would like to add a sunroof Challenger/Barracuda that is not posted here - just send me a PM and we will get'er done.
Thanks,
Scott.
That is where I get confused. The original is a JH23 but he tells me when he bought it he received a letter from the state saying he had to have it inspected. The State of Illinois inspected it and put a new vin tag on the door jam. This vin is different it is a JH29. The strange part is the...
It's a cool option. Very heavy though. The factory recomended more tire pressure with a sunroof car. I have one to be put back together. When the sunroof rusted the car had a hardtop put on it. When I bought it, I got the original roof with the car. I since, have gathered most of the parts...
All,
Been gathering information on early power sunroof Mopars ever since I liberated a 1971 sunroof Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus from a salvage yard in 2012. Here are the 1970 through 1972 Challengers that I have run across so far, along with the one year only 1972 Barracudas - just follow...
Usually, the M51 or M52 is not listed on the fender tag.
It typically takes the build sheet to have actual proof that it was an original sunroof car.
Keep looking, they are hard to find. Cuda's came with sunroof's in 72 only, that's what I have been looking for.
Without the fender tag or build sheet, there is no way of telling for sure if it came with the sunroof originally.
It does hurt the value to an investor. That being said, if you like the car and that's what you want, go for it.
Not having a fender tag dosent bother me since I like to add better...
...of options, with very few parts missing. Vehicle was running before being disassembled. I'll be posting pics, is there anything specific I can look for to ensure that it's a real sunroof car, and I would like an honest opinion regarding both as an investment and I do want a sunroof challenger
They only built 52 in 71 with a sunroof. I found one, it was triple black, with a six cylinder and every other option i've ever seen. including a luggage rack. just sitting and wasting away. I hate those kind of finds.
Are you looking at it from an investment point of view or do you want a sunroof ? Is this a project car or a driver ? Take good close up pics inside and out and post them for us to see.
Doing a little research only the 70 and 71 had that option. All sunroof cars came with a vinyl top also...
Hey everyone,
im going to be looking at another challenger today. The car has a sunroof and a couple other options but no fender tag and no build-sheet. Should I stay away from it, or is there a way to tell if it's original (more specifically the sun roof). Or is there a data base that can tell...
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a sunroof 70/71 challenger project. Would like that it would have most parts with it, but hey I'll take one that's missing a few things. If anyone knows of one please let me know. Cash or if they want a a trade in return that's fine. Love the sunroof and prefer a...
the sunroof Charger
This car was also complete very minor damage, bench seat 318 car. This one also had a name on it. I asked the guy and he said he took the steering column and dash out of it. REALLY!!!
Back in December I found out about an old junkyard that was selling parts and whole cars. This yard had 1000s of cars and had not been touched as the owner would not sell anything. Well, he passed and the family sold it all to a scrapper. This was back in August so alot of the good stuff was...
