    91 ethanol free or 93 w/10% ethanol

I recently found out that the states that allow ethanol free is still required to have some ethanol in it but don't know how much but I still use it as is... It's becoming more common around me in 89 or 90. I assumed it may have to do with small engines. I cannot run ethanol in my Cub Cadet EFI...

    Bilstein shocks

This is what I was thinking of... I called QA1 because these use to come in the sleeve kit with the shocks. There called 'rod end spacers' or 'Mis-alignment spacers'. The size is 1/2" x 1/4" thick. QA1 #SG84 or equivalent. Only 1 will fit, can't find an 1/8"

    Opinion on front shocks

Could have been my problem, I had the single adjustable TS901. Weren't bad, rode nice but only one way rebound and kind of floaty. I may regret selling them for the bilsteins. They have the same upper bushing set up without all the spacers and washers QA1 provides. I posted on another thread PST...

    Bilstein shocks

A typical shock Monroe, etc. you have the reducer or sleeve in the bushing but like the QA1's I had before these don't. As I mentioned on another post I liked the QA1 but there not for street use but did come with an assortment of flat and flared washers and reducers so I was able to make them...

    Bilstein shocks

No spacers came with the Bilstein rear's unlike the QA1 only a reducer. How do you tighten them...?

    Front End Alignment

As far as shocks, I had the QA1 TS501/901 and on hind sight there weren't as bad as I felt they were mainly because even though they where adj you had to pretty much keep them in the middle setting. Also, there a racing style with no rebound. It basically feels like your riding on the suspension...

    Disc Brake Caliper Position

I never gave it a thought but my car came with the upgrade and there in the back. There's stainless hoses on it too and there's lots of slack but they could just be generic. Doing some research to resolve a caliper rattle I surmised that there basically a Mirada/Cordoba set up so any e body...

All that glitters in not gold....

Just installed a Borgenson steering gear and as I was waiting for the air to clear I noticed quite a bit of gold flakes in the fluid. Don't know of any brass type components in the pump so assuming it maybe coming from the gear. I did happen to put a magna pure filter on I had laying around and...

    h pipe

Hi all, Anybody have a H pipe install pic they would like to share to see what possibilities are available...? Seems like even custom shops use existing templates that only include e-body Hemi's or B-bodies so other than the TTI set up which will cause me to change what I have. The idea of...

    Molded heater hose

On the bright side I went to return them via ebay and they just refunded me so at least I got the 2 aluminum straps out of the deal. Looks like everyone is selling the same kit... I'm going to do the Evans conversion while I had the heads off and one benefit with that I wasn't even aware of is...

    Molded heater hose

I had to somewhat, you get extra. They seemed ok until I put them in the bracket. I even cut a little off the bottom of the nipple since I had some extra threads. Seems like once they bent they lost there shape and the stenciling is like chalk I got them from Classic Industries not Year One...

    Molded heater hose

I'm having issues replacing what appeared to be B body heater hoses on my 440 R/T but the Year Ones i got for A/E cars aren't molded like the others seem to be and the hoses kink or is it just cheap hose. There much more pliable than the ones I took off which could be OEM as far as I can tell...

    1970 Challenger 440 Heating Problems

My cars temp seems ok but can't help but wonder about the updated aftermarket head gaskets that replace the top holes with slits like the BBC but aren't even over the passage. Most of mine were blocked shut by rust or the teflon coating from the head gaskets sticking to the block. I read where...

    Piston impressions

Sorry, it was a 440... Wonder if that's a good thing. Since there seems to be a problem sealing the valley pan my primary purpose was to measure the CC (83) to see if the heads were cut. The first time I replaced it, it definitely helped and that was with a different intake. I didn't want to...

    Piston impressions

I'm cleaning out my cylinders from a leaking valley pan and see .04 stamped on the pistons but measuring with one of those cheapo digital calipers from the top not a dial indicator down the bore I get 4.342. Does that sound about right ?
