Looking for a reputable engine machine shop in north east PA

Look up SK Machine in Danielsville, PA and see how close they are to you. Very good machine shop that does all brands, but are Mopar guys and Mopar specialists.

    512 build. Which intake?

Are you building a low deck motor or an RB motor? Either one should clear with a Rallye hood, but a low deck motor will have more clearance.

Does anyone know where to buy the 9324 Suede Jewel Black interior paint besides the one guy who wants a war pension for a pint?

    WTB 74 cuda dash frame

An original core is needed to supply to be recovered. Originals have a metal base that the foam is formed on. Repro's that are all new have plastic bases that the foam is formed on. Over time, those plastic bases warp and twist and end up looking like Fido's ass! Metal bases from an original pad...

FOR SALE 70 challenger deck lids

I had to VERY painstakingly remove the Village Dodge sticker from the inside of the decklid of my 70 A66 Challenger to use on a better trunklid during restoration! Is Village Dodge still in business in Painesville?

    340 Headers

@SRKlegin Did you have to install longer lugs to run the Year One 17" Rallyes? I bought a new set with tires from an individual, instead of Year One, that I want to run on my 71 Challenger conv. i started to install them and the lugs didn't extend thru the wheel far enough to suit me, so I held...

    A few 340 questions

Head gasket thickness certainly can affect the compression ratio. The thicker the gasket, the less compression distance you have. Cometic makes very good head gaskets in many thicknesses, so you should be able to find one that's suitable for your build. Work with your machinist too see what you...

    WTB Radiator

That's the route I went. It cost $600 to get it done, but the total with buying the radiator and that was still way cheaper than buying the repro radiator.

    A few 340 questions

I ran 93 octane Amoco Super Unleaded gas in my 340 that was all stock in my 70 A66 Challenger back in the day. If 93 ran fine in it then, it will do the same now. I have a 360 in my 71 Challenger conv that has iron J heads and KB 107 pistons. It has 10.7 compression with the gaskets and chamber...

    Rear Seal Leak

I agree. Get the billet retainer plate and a new seal, for good measure. Seal it up good and let the sealer cure a day before you fire it back up. Getting the upper seal in will be the hardest part, whether you leave the engine in the car or remove it. It is very do-able, just harder to do with...

    A few 340 questions

The difference in the 68-71 pistons and the later 72-73 pistons is in the pin to crown height of the pistons. The early pistons have higher crowns and only 2 valve reliefs, where the later pistons have lower crowns and 4 valve reliefs. The rods were the same. I have taken a 340 forged crank and...

I'd sawzall or ziz wheel that sucker so fast it would make your head swim. I never have understood what the purpose of those things was.

    Don's Custom Exhaust

I don't know if it was him or not, but there was a guy sitting along the back fence in the swap meet with exhaust pipes on display. I slowed down long enough to see if he had any pipes for an A66 Challenger, and he did not, so I kept on trucking. I didn't see a name or anything, but it was a man...
