I have been looking for one for my 70 for almost a year. Read on A bodies only that they are really rare to come by. When searching around the big block ones are fairly common. My only caveat is for a 70, AC, w/o PS, not sure how that plays out with your 74.
Looks sharp! Unfortunately these stories from the auctions seem to be more and more frequent. Not sure what you paid for it or your skill level, but a lot of the items you say are wrong can cost some $$ to fix. Maybe need to get a list of what you think needs to be done, determine some prices...

Trying to figure out belt routing on my 340, previous owner removed the AC and discarded so I don't have any of those original parts. Car has manual steering with AC, crank pulley is three groove.

Got my pentastars and they look great! I dropped one of my two on the ground and the gold metal portion popped off.
Just a reminder that the glue is 50 years old probably pretty brittle, glad it happened in my garage rather than losing it on the road.
