Quick update, I'm running out of time to be able to do body work before I hopefully go to medical school(if I get off the waitlist) I got a quote for the bodywork and they want 35-45k which, needless to say, is out of my budget as an EMT. So im looking into maybe just getting the rear wheel...
Well, just shot gas out of the carb and had a small fire ball. Maybe i need to recheck timing? Im probably gonna do that tomorrow when my friend is here to help. I plugged the vacuum lines and that seemed to help a little. Its a little more eager to start.
It is wired up correctly, it cant be the problem cause when i bypass everything and just put it in run and short the starter i have spark and it fires but doesnt stay running.
Lemme look for them. They may have gotten lost over the years. I built this motor then it sat for a while. I just primed it at started working on it again.
Its hooked up as directed in the instructions to the ignition wire. The ballast resistor is bypassed. Im not thinking its an electrical issue. Ill double check everything though.
Well my carb is getting fuel. I checked to see if theres fuel in my oil and i thought i smelled some at first but i cant smell it anymore and neither can anyone else. Still no luck starting it. Gonna check plugs.
I appreciate all your recommendations and I know yall mean well! Im betting you're right about fuel delivery. I was actually thinking it could be compression but i listened to the vids of my bad comp motor and its definitely not that. I just didn't think it would be my new carb. But i dont think...
