Is it just me or is finding parts (nos or used parts), just not repops really getting hard and ridiculously expensive? Every part seems to be 500 bucks. My 70 Challenger is supposed to have the Rallye cluster, R35 radio, 6way non power seat, AC, vinyl roof, and the bumble bee stripe. oh and the...
I am looking at a grille for the 70 Challenger so far. but I guess it depends on what else is around and what you can carry. What do you charge to do so? i would take an Rallye hood if I could get one cheap enough and transported but i never did this before so trying to learn the ropes.

I see a lot of people taking stuff to the show but I wont be able to go. So I was wondering if anybody from the Buffalo, N.Y. area who is going and has the carrying capacity would be interested in bringing back a part I buy there. Just curious.
ogre.
I just upgraded to rally so I am cleaning out the non rally stuff.
1. Non Rally with a clock, nice clean unit, plastic is clear $250
2. Non Rally without a clock, clean but plastic is cloudy or needs a real good cleaning $200
3. Cluster Cover, in black texture some mounting tabs chipped but very...
Happy New Year!
I am hoping I can find a driveshaft for my Challenger project, closer to home the better.
this is the one i think I need, as my 70 Challenger has an 8 3/4 rear and a 383 4v, 727 AT. The magic length appears to be 45.60" center to center for u-joints. Let me know if anyone has...
I have a dashpad (black) that has a crack in the vinyl about 1.25" long on the top side. It would be a nice dash pad if not for the crack. Is there a tested product that can be used to seal the crack? What have others used, what works and what doesnt.
Thanks
Thanks to all for their input. So I looked at my fenders for serial numbers, only found 1 fender with stamped numbers near the rear hood bumper but they were all 000000's. So where did they hide those numbers. the undersides are all factory undercoated so I don't want to scrape all of it if I...
I picked up a few fenders for my 70 Challenger, and I noticed something a little weird. If I measure the wheel well at the bottom of the fender the span is 32 inches on 3 of my fenders, but 33 inches on the last one. No visible damage or cut marks its just bigger. It is of course the single...
Thanks everybody for the input. i should have specified, the build was just to restore the car back to original with a little plus. The 383 was spec'd at 335Hp and I was hoping to plus it to about 350-375 range.
The journals were radiused but since I didn't have the Pistons he couldn't balance...
I just got my engine block back from the shop, a 1970 383 G series HP. The shop has a standard package that does the cleaning, magnaflux, line bore, and bore/hone also replaces cam bearings and soft plugs. that was $450.00
The Crankshaft well it was shot peened for $50.00 and then had the...
Is there a difference between years 70-74 for challengers wiper assemblies? I have a 70 Challenger which needs a variable speed motor but can I use the linkage under the cowl from a 72 challenger? Are they the same or is it a 70-71 and 72-74 like for the front fenders.
Thanks

I have a question, basically what is if any difference between a rallye and non rallye dash? I know the clusters are different but I am talking about the metal dash itself. I have 2 dashes and they appear to be the same so I dont want to use the wrong one.
thanks
I cant seem to load photos in email so next best thing. These are pics of a 70 (supposedly) non AC, 1 spkr dashpad. has 3 issues, small crack on speaker corner, 2 glue residue from stickers, and the challenger logo has lost its color if it had any. Rest of the dash looks like what you see, faded...
