    With a heavy heart

I agree completely. In fact, my son and I, on the day after this thing started, decided that when the guy was caught he should be made to walk a gauntlet of everyone adversely effected by his actions.

Should have said this sooner; Sorry about your folks place. Where was it? My son's was about a mile up Vilas Road.

Interesting graph. To my knowledge, no human lives were lost in this particular fire. My son did lose his cat. It is unknown if he ran so far as to get lost or if she died. He's got game cameras out keeping an eye out but so far no sign. He puts food and water out plus he leaves his work shirt...

    With a heavy heart

From what I hear, the guy that was arrested, if he's convicted, will incur his 3rd strike.

    With a heavy heart

He was caught and arrested that same day. I heard, but haven’t pursued it, that this would be his third felony strike and California is a three strike state.

It'll be a while I think. We also lost the shop with the lift. He's still pretty shell shocked.

    With a heavy heart

Yeah, we’ve been telling ourselves “it was just a car,” and MOSTLY believing it. We’ve also been consoling ourselves with the fact that at least we had those six and a half years of working together. We’ve talked about doing something else but we think it’s too early yet.

    With a heavy heart

My son and I worked periodically after her death on my late wife's original owner 318 Challenger. We basically stripped it down to the body and performed a fairly comprehensive restomod on it. All the surface rust was dealt with, inside and out. We installed a Gear Vendor over/under drive...

    Transmission linkage problem

So, I spent several hours installing and removing the linkage and making “adjustments” each time. I think I’m down to the last tweak. The “front bar,” that attaches to the transmission is now just a little too long. The rest of the movement is quite smooth now that I have it all aligned with...

    Transmission linkage problem

Somehow this thread ended up in my junk folder. Glad I checked before deleting. I'll put your diagram/picture up for a good study tomorrow.

    Transmission linkage problem

Can't get the torque shaft to clear our hooker headers unless the bracket that bolts to the block is turned upside down. Then the alignment where the bracket bolts to the frame member is all wrong. When the transmission was overhauled, 30 plus years ago, the linkage was cobbled together...

    Factory/dealer service manual electrical schematics

Thanks for everyone's inputs. The motor is running again. We figure one of two things happened. A) while messing around under the dash (isn't that fun?) we inadvertently disconnected something that we couldn't see, or B) when we backfed the +12 volts to the negative side of the coil we caused a...

    Factory/dealer service manual electrical schematics

Moving from diagram to diagram isn't really the problem. The problem comes in when a wire go from inside (or outside) the engine bay or passenger compartment. Understand, I did this same job, basically, for 20+ years in the military except, of course, on aircraft. I'll give you a for instance...

    Wiring supplies

Yeah, that's what we've been doing. I just don't like it much. A correct connector would be better but we do what we gotta right?

    Wiring supplies

We are working on a 1970 Challenger w/small block if that matters. Non-ralleye dash. We would like some more male connectors that will plug into the orange triple female connector for the dash lighting. The standard insulated ones you can get anywhere are too small. Does anyone know where...

    Factory/dealer service manual electrical schematics

1970 Challenger w/small block is what we are working on. We THINK we fixed it but have to reassemble the car again to test it out. Basically we were wondering if there was a better wiring diagram that could be purchased. And if so, where from? The factory one leaves a bit to be desired as it...

    Factory/dealer service manual electrical schematics

So... this project of ours seems like it's turning into a lifetime project. Not really, but it has been 5 years now. We live 1000 miles apart and I only get here a couple times a year. I know we haven't posted anything but I have been lurking the whole time. The car is back together. All the...
