Yes I agree , Im new to this mechanic engine stuff so Im learning alot from everyone here , I did have to cut out a hole in the wingage tray for the bend in the tube , mine is from Summit with the gasket attached to the tray and Im just going to use the 5qt ''402'' pan , the tube matches...
I just wasn't sure about the extra oil in a bigger pan if it could be higher off the bottom of the pan , I might just return it and just go with the 402 pan I have , im sure it's fine for weekend cruising.
Even at 1/2 in. , I already tried Teflon tape but didn't like the way the tape squeezed out so not doing that , will blue loctite hold it if it's in loose .
I ordered the 6qt hemi pan and 4 1/2 pickup tube from 440 Source , the pickup tube in snug is more like 4 1/4 and the pan is 5 in . I can get it to 4 1/2 but the tube is not tight , with the extra oil in the pan , 7 qrts , is it ok to be 3/4 to a 1/2 in. off the pan bottom , thanks again for any...
Good to hear someone else has the same as me , I have them at 11 ft lbs , hopefully good there , and I will recheck after it gets running . Do you remember how many qrts of trans fluid you used .
When I replaced the transmission Pan and gasket I did not use any thread locker on the bolts , I have not ran her yet still working on the oil pan , I just went to check the bolts and some I had to tighten just slightly , I have the thick blue Moroso gasket and deep pan , do I need locker or...
Anyone use these brackets from Year One on 1970 Barracuda seats , at least that's what I think I have , I don't see an easy way for these without some fabrication , or am I just not getting it .
Just another part on wrong , this car has been so much trouble with mismatched parts or wrong bolts , thanks Floyd , also what part is this , did not see this . Is it on both or just one .
Just looking for slip on covers for now , these seats grab your shorts when trying to sit but the are stuck in one position right now , just another thing to do , I did get the seat relocation brackets for extra length.
