    Chassis Parts Color Guide

I am getting ready to start having the below items powder coated/painted and wanted to check proper colors and sheen. I am thinking that anything that is bare steel will be painted to replicate that look. Some of the colors below were taken out of the Authentic Restoration Guide, Challenger &...

Rally Rim, Center Cap, Center Trim

Received the ones @Vaanth suggested. Domed like original and Mopar Authentic Part for what it’s worth. Will get to my painter and see after how well they fit.

    Electric Ignition Conversion Kit Options

Really like the idea of it hidden to keep the 70 look if I go that route. At first will get the points distributor and go from there to keep with originality.

    Heat Riser Removal

Sounds like most people are saying that you don't need a functional heat riser with the exception of @Former owner. Any further explanation would help me, TIA.

    Heat Riser Removal

Worked like a charm! Had a hose clamp I put around the large diameter counterweight, allowed me to get a larger channel lock on it without messing it up. PB, heat, work it, repeat. Moves freely now. Looking at the butterfly it appears to be welded to the shaft on the inside of the manifold...

Questions on Pistol Grip Shifter Boot, Galvanized Ring, and Stainless Trim Bezel

Was going to ask the same thing, my boot (from Brewers) has a metal ring molded into the rubber. They don’t offer the galvanized ring. Not sure if the original had the metal ring molded into the boot or not.

    Electric Ignition Conversion Kit Options

Thanks for the responses, starting to see the benefits of both. Either way my car did not come with a distributor so will need to find an option. I also don’t want drill/modify the cowl/firewall to add electric, so I like the option of relocating the module.

    Fender Tags, why?

IMO they are neat, they tell a story of the car no mater what engine ended up in it. I just wish I could find the broadcast sheet for my car for that adds to the story. I have listened to my buddy complain about his Chevelle for years and trying to prove options etc. Sounds like Ma Mopar for...

    Electric Ignition Conversion Kit Options

I am debating whether I should run my car with the original distributor or convert it to electric for a 1970 Challenger. Possible the first question is pros and cons of that conversion. If one was to go with the electric ignition conversion, what are some good options to mount the extra...

    Year-One versus Just Dashes

Posted this in another thread...but just got mine back too from ABC, it looks good but need to see how the AC vents, lower trim pieces, speaker grills, etc to see how it really stacks up. This is after I had a really bad experience with the Fox dash pad in the past. Shipping is no joke, cost...

6 way adjustable seat track restoration

I am missing one of my horseshoe shaped "hair" springs also. Was thinking about trying to get some spring steel and recreate them since they are pretty basic shape, but not sure past that. Your idea of coil springs in tension is interesting and fairly simple, will have to look into that.
