Earl, Glad to see you on ForEBodiesOnly.com. I am in the text group with everyone from Sarasota up to Brandon. My TKX 5-speed conversion is nearing completion. Finished the last of the interior tonight. I hope to see you very soon, potentially at Merit's Mopars on 4/26/2025.

1970 Steering Column - park/reverse lockout arm with TKX & Hydraulic Clutch

I found the solution while taking the column loose again. Once it was dropped down and the firewall plate bolts removed, I was able to slide the column/shaft with firewall plate over toward the engine and rotate the park/reverse lockout arm downward into the right position. Reversed the process...

1970 Steering Column - park/reverse lockout arm with TKX & Hydraulic Clutch

So now my dilemma is that I will need to pull out the steering column and remove that park/reverse lockout arm or attempt to position it downward. There is no room with the column in place for the arm to move downward far enough to allow the ignition key to be removed. I managed to find the...

1970 Steering Column - park/reverse lockout arm with TKX & Hydraulic Clutch

Okay, I just installed my steering column with a Borgeson box and the Bergman Auto Craft coupler. I think I have the park/reverse lockout arm turned the wrong way. In other words the arm is pointing toward the inner fenderwell and does not allow the ignition key to be removed or the steering...

    Steering Column Play

@Cuda_at_last , Tell us exactly what you mean by "in/out play". What are you doing to see the play? Pulling on the steering wheel? Moving the steering column shaft in the engine compartment? We can better assist with more details.

    Steering Column Play

The shoes are sticking out of the coupler. There is a small "dowel pin" in the side of the coupler that should have prevented that from happening. The dowel pin can be driven in from the outside after you install the new parts. Easier to do on a workbench, though. Normal tolerance for "in and...

Picked up this 72 cuda shell 340 4 speed

I want to see the potential but am blinded by the sheer magnitude of the project and financial/labor cost. What are your plans for it? Parts car, custom/restomod, or restoration?

Need Photos of Installed Factory Clutch Pedal Safety Switch Bracket & Switch (Trigger for NEUTRAL Relay)

I decided to install a Normally Closed (N.C.) switch (maintained open by the clutch pedal) in my own fabricated bracket. I installed a rubber vacuum plug on the switch's button to add some length and also to provide some "cushion". Ordered the switch from Amazon on SAT and got it today (SUN)...

Need Photos of Installed Factory Clutch Pedal Safety Switch Bracket & Switch (Trigger for NEUTRAL Relay)

Looking for some photos of the clutch pedal safety switch and bracket. I am nearing completion on an automatic-to-TKX 5-speed conversion and will be using an aftermarket switch ($7 Hyundai switch pictured). I will have to fabricate a bracket but want to see how the factory clutch switch/bracket...

    Hello from Vienna/Austria: 1970 Barracuda

Welcome! There may be some questions about your Barracuda's Dash VIN plate. I have never seen a partial Dash VIN plate with just the last 8 characters on it. Is that a reproduction Dash VIN plate? There is a company making them in Europe. It appears that the Export VIN plate has a typo in the...
