    Engine idle not working

To me this is what I suspect. So there is plastic on this timing camshaft timing gear?

    Engine idle not working

Exhaust is barely hanging on by a thread. There are so many holes in it, it was the first thing on my list to replace. Already bought a flowmaster fx 2.5 inch muffler for it. Installed new kyb gas adjust shocks yesterday. New pcv valve today. Bought all new belts and hoses and was going to flush...

    Engine idle not working

Yes and yes. I only changed out the vacuum line to the heater door and the one to the evaporator box. Both were done while driving from Wisconsin. The next morning when I started the car the problem started. I think its more likely the distributer or the electronic ignition. I have since rebuilt...

    Engine idle not working

Well that was a bust too. Still starts and idles rough and shutters. When I take my foot off the gas it dies.

    Engine idle not working

Just checked it. 1.7 ohms and 12.8 oms and the 12.8 ohms is bouncing all over the place. Will not settle down. Bad resistor. I am thinking of buying the condenser as well just to make sure.

    Engine idle not working

So I think you put me in the right location. Will let you know in a minute if the resistor is bad.

    Engine idle not working

No. I know where the ballast resistor is and the ignition coil condenser. After doing some research it would appear that both of those are the most likely culprit. I looked at the underside of the distributor cap and its all new. Rotor and cap are new. So I have the ballast resistor that has 4...

    Engine idle not working

I have both service manuals but that does not help me. If I cannot find anything in the manual that says carb popping and stalling. So you are thinking that a car that made a 1400 mile trip in 2 days and never once stalled all of a sudden that ballast on the distributor went bad? It acts like...

    Engine idle not working

I am going to be busy tomorrow. There was no debris in the bowls of the carb. In fact the only thing I found was loose screws and bolts on every connection. The only thing I did to the vacuum lines was replace one line while driving from Wisconsin. Then when I got up the next day it would not...

    AC/Heater Wire Connector

No. I am talking about this red connector that attaches on the back of the temperature controller on the dash. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/rpEAAeSw3nZpmt-Z/s-l1600.webp

    Interior Paint

You will find that none of the cars have the same color on the interior from one component to the next. My interior is original and there are at least 4 different colors of blue. Anyone that says otherwise is full of gas. Except black or white.

    AC/Heater Wire Connector

Does anyone have a source for that red wire connector that attaches to the back of the temperature controller?

    Engine idle not working

Hey guys. Just brought a 73 Challenger home from Wisconsin to Texas. I actually drove it home. Along the way I changed the oil and balanced the tires and rotated. I repaired a few broken hoses that are vacuum related. Got home on Monday night and the car made it home. Although the idle was low...

    Ac/Heater vacuum Hose Connection

No. I actually figured it out. On the fire wall it looks like this big square with a whole in the center. Then yesterday I pulled the carpet down in the general area and there was a hose going to the AC box. It was a normal grommet so I pulled the hose and it broke just like the one on the...

    Ac/Heater vacuum Hose Connection

Ok, Yesterday I was replacing old broken hoses on my car and I had a heater door hose or vent door hose that I removed without seeing where it came out of the fire wall. So when I looked there is a square plastic grommet on the fire wall coming from the back of the AC/Heater box. In the past...
