Well got it in. Carpet with jute backing has about 1/2 inch clearance to the gas pedal. Gas pedal goes to the floor, can't ask for better than that :-)

Leo, It's a RoadRunner Clone. Figure the E body guys know this trans tunnel better than B body guys. Engine and transmission are in place, shifter tunnel is cut and linkage installed. When I went to install the new trans tunnel it is almost rubbing the gas pedal. May just have to "cut to fit"...
