Ok the "getting soft" doesn't seem to apply to metal structures in my tiny brain. I'm not sure who sells those but there are several cottage industries making formed metal components for these old cars. Might do a dogpile search and see what pops up...
I've got the engine out of my 73 Cuda right now and with the suspension topped out it's pulled in at the top like you described. If the car has ever been "flown" the upper A-arm towers may be out of spec and pushed in a bit.
V-8 is a V-8 as far as K-members go on the E- body. I think there was a slight difference on the Hemi cars but your 440 will fit just fine in the 318 car. Looking forward to the pics!
