So you don't have those black corner filler pieces at all, huh? Pretty sure my bumpers are '72. They're drawn in like yours. The corner piece has a couple of clips on the back side that go into the holes in the recessed portion of the front fender. Were yours filled in?
.....if that's even what it's called. The one on my '73 Challenger is sort of flared out (upper right corner of fender portion). I can bend it back over the plate, but it won't stay. Solution=heat gun? If not, I haven't seen anything online as to a source, except for a pair of NOS silver...
I had read that the Edelbrock 1406 "self-vents" through the air cleaner. But vapors from the gas tank would still be sucked in, right? And isn't it connected to ported vaccuum?
I'm trying to re-establish the charcoal canister to my '73 Challenger, as it was deleted when I bought the car. I have an Edelbrock 1406 carbeurator, the one without the bowl vent. And the 3 nipple canister. I understand the purge line needs to go to ported vacuum. What about the line...
Well i was looking for the correct MC, with the rounded edge, and they had it, so.......
They had the other ones for half the money, yes.
I've just never seen a Mopar with that blue mark on it.
While we're on the MC topic, I was getting ready to bench bleed it with the tubes and what-not...
Was looking to swap out my master cylinder ('73 Challenger 340 w/brake booster). Ordered a new "factory correct" one from Jim's Auto Parts in NH. Paid over $200 for it. It has a splotch of blue paint on the front of the MC, and some on the engine side. It's Sunday and I can't call them, so I...
hey all, for some reason, when I bought my '73 challenger, the windshield washing system was non-existant. I've replaced all the components, and have located the hot brown wire that goes to the pump. In my buddy's '73 Cuda, he's got a 2 part connector that connects the power lead on the pump...
Figured it out! Two additional screws in the bottom of the radio, toward the front, and going up through the steel bar which supports the front of the unit. The old power connector was still getting power, and all the speakers work! And looks SOOOOO much better!
When I bought my '73 Challenger, it came with a butt-ugly aftermarket stereo. The guy had even cut holes in the rear interior panels for speakers! First thing I did was rip those panels out and replace. Finally, after much searching, I found an e-body AM/FM radio on E-bay. My question is...
Getting ready to paint my 340, paint is stripped, and I'm gonna give it one more cleaning. I plan on using epoxy primer to start, followed by the Mopar Performance paint. What should I use for recoat times on the Mopar paint? Also, I've read lots of conflicting opinions on using primer...
