1970 'Cuda

General Description

One of my current E-Bodies. . .
This '70 U-Code 440 4 bbl. is one of just 618 built with the 727 Torqueflite. Rarer than a Six Pack car, '70 was the only year the 440 4 bbl. engine was available.
A Y13 Code Dealer Demonstator, this car was sold new at Ryan Motors in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and the owner, Bob Ryan's daughter (a sales person at the dealership) drove it for the first 3,000 miles.
A factory TX9 Black Velvet car, this one is loaded with options, including a black vinyl top, leather interior, floor and overhead consoles, Hurst shifter, Rallye Dash, Rim Blow Wheel, power steering, power brakes, Light Pkg., 6-way driver's seat, AM/FM Thumbwheel Radio w/3-speaker dash, console-mounted cassette player/recorder w/microphone, A36 Code Performance Axle Pkg., front and rear spoilers, rear window louvers, SHAKER hood, black Hockey Stick Stripes, Fish Gill rocker moldings, door and quarter top moldings, wheel lip moldings, A21 Code Elastomeric (rubber) front bumper pkg. w/dual Chrome Rallye Mirrors.
This car is HD underneath, with the Hemi suspension components.
I bought it out of a barn in 1990 with bald tires, a dead battery, leaky original exhaust w/headers, and an 800 Holley pulled off of a shelf and installed after blowing the dust out of it and '82 plates on it. . .then drove it 550 miles home!! It had 52,000 actual miles and one, not so good repaint. I had it stripped and repainted in '03.
I've owned this car since 1990.
