ok this is a complete project that needs ground up restore. its a very rare model non r/t 383 magnum sleeper. its a true sublime green car, numbers matching 383 4 BB and trans, fender tag , posi rear end, dual exhaust, front disc brakes, bench seat car, rear defrost, RIM BLOW STEERING WHEEL, dual mirrors, black vinyl top, black interior. its one of 952 produced with this combo not including its a true lime green car. you can check out info per caaarguide.com VR JH23 1970DODGE CHALLENGER 2-dr hardtop a 383ci V8 4bbl 330hp production 952 .. I know what it is so i am firm on price. you can always build a clone, but when is the last time you have a numbers matching car. solid frame rails but will need some quarters and body work.. but complete 99 percent. motor runs and good. Oil pressure good but has been sitting since 1995. was painted blue back in 80's but still can see stock colors. perfect dash panel and black door panels are very good no chacking..so there is 3k in savings by it self. rare posi is another 1k...so price is firm..and no trades ...appropriate the offers of trades..but dont need any ...its rare so no hurry to part..again not many numbers matching 383 complete sublime cars out there...and its a loaded car..
just got the motor running. and the car moves back and forth. Perfect to load on a trailer... again numbers matching car. to deliver figure about 1500 to 2k...car is located in Oregon 97301

comes with a replacement driver fender, a 70 flat hood and 70 correct gauge cluster....still missing bench seat..but I do have 2 good core cuda seats.. $14750.00

DetMatt1 I noticed that you are getting your message count up. Does that look like a stock intake manifold and air cleaner ? A fender tag or build sheet would be mandatory to justify the price. Not very well maintained even if it was parked for 20 years.
I just noticed that this is your first post here. Welcome aboard. Do you have any other Mopars ? Pictures ?

I've been here a long time Leo! Looks like an aluminum intake, headers and yes the air cleaner all look to have been done sometime long ago.

I will post better pics and yes I agree it may be high..but then being what it is with all the options numbers matching etc. ...I don't think I am out of line.. Car needs to be taken back to what it is..I see for a 318 basic challenger around in my area they start around 6500 to 7500. And u still need to have to buy a dash pad and interior panels,, Which I see for around 3k for repops. Anyways just wanted to put out here..cool forum.... Thx

You may want to run the new fuel line under the distributer against the valve cover. If you get a fuel leak where it is you could have a fire. You want to come up behind the alternator, not through the bracket. Hooking up the vaccum advance will help also.

at that price I'm looking for a true R/T.. if you are going to build them build a true r/t. ALL these cars need the same things, trunk, floor work, outer 1/4s.. etc .

Your guide is not in the real world. A 383 auto RT that is pretty nice goes for 25,000 - 30,000 in the real world, not 31,000 to 47,000.

Welcome to FEBO. You will find it is not necessary to upsell your car here. Most here know what these cars need to be restored and true value of such. Also the Scottsdale thing doesn't play a factor on a car that needs a total restoration. It appears that this car was in a very humid area, going by the rust inside the speedometer, the various surface rust and also on the valve covers. Do you have good pics of the frame rails near the back where they all rust out? Maybe closeups of the inner fenders at the hood hinge area too. That is hard to see with the rag hanging over it. I am suggesting that a lot more good pictures would help as you are asking a pretty fair dollar for the car. What is visible isn't really showing enough to make a good assessment of the car.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think this car may have gone for a swim- in salt water? There's just too much rust in the damndest places- like the ash tray and rad cap. Caveat emptor laddies! Just my 2 cents worth.

Broken windshield doesn't help much. The dash frame appears to be from a standard transmission car.
