Wow that's gorgeous, I love that interior color and it's a very early built car.

The vin's first five are JS23N. The N designates 383 4bbl. Seller states it now has a 440. But what I am wondering is....did fake rear quarter panel scoops come on a 1970 Challenger? I've seen them on plenty of 1971 Challengers but not a 1970 Challenger.

The rear quarter scoops are 1971 only.
The console and steering column are also 1971.
The fuel filler looks like a Charger one?

The scoops were not available until '71 and need to be removed and good eye on the console being a later piece which means it must be painted burnt orange as that was a '70 only interior color.

Yea well look at the black surrounds around the radio, not correct so someone might have pieced this one together. And yes with the ash tray the console is 1971 and the scoops. Far from unmolested and yes just a 383 car. Made around 8000 of them

Guess depends on how you look at it, i sold my coupe for the no top version. Just a few less produced. Here's some more orange

Just some thoughts on this car;
- California car, chassis should be clean w minimal rust. (find a clean rust free chassis these days) clean floor and trunk pans are a real plus
- Was "modded" but w a 440-6pk, it would make a fun driver. (complete original 70 6pk engine hard to come by)
- Car is well optioned pdb, ps, 3:55 gears, rallye dash, etc.
- Would be hard to duplicate with a decent body and 6pk engine for the money.
- Cool color for the exterior/interior
- Comes with original build sheet and documentation
- Thought it would be fun driver car for a reasonable price.

Certainly would be a fun can and tough to beat at that price. Really people are just thinking the term Unmolested and that specific car are not supposed to be in the same sentence

Not all classic California cars are rust free. My son went to college in Humboldt County, Ca. He still talks about the rusty muscle cars there. Eureka, Arcata home of Humboldt State college have a marine layer that comes in every morning and burns off around noon. This fog has salt in it. If you must buy a rusty car the lessor of the two evils is a car that rusts from the top down (rain) not from the inside out (salt) like along the California coast. Pacifica just north of Half moon bay is another notorious place for rusty cars. My youngest brother parked his 1969 Coronet Convertible on a carport in Laguna Beach and it started to rust from the inside out from salty air. He sold it for that reason.
