1971 360 casting number?

looking at a 71-360 motor. so how would i know its a 71 motor? the year is stamped on the pass side right? thanks

Should be cast onto the block right behind motor mount boss on oil filter side of block.

:icon_study:Thats correct. 360 2bbl released in 1971. Went to 4 bbl. when 340 was discontinued.
