Was in the process of rebuilding this in California with a Chrysler mechanic friend when my family had to move to NJ. Needs finishing, but all machine work is done. Magnafluxed, checked for cracks, bored .30 over. All new cam, pistons (sealed power), rings, bearings, crank was turned, New water pump, timing gears, etc...
Tightening the last rod to specs made the engine difficult to turn, so my friend took out the crank and I went back to the shop that machined it. He measured and came up with the same specs for bearings as the ones he gave me. That's where its at now. Fully together without gaskets so I could remove the crank if need be. Lots of time and money in this engine. Also have a completely rebuilt 1972 Thermoquad that goes with. Looking for less than I have in it. $3,000. Located in North NJ. (Randolph)
