Greetings EBody Friends! Thought I'd share a couple pics of my 1972 Cuda. She was born a 340, but now has a 392 Hemi out of a 1957 Imperial. The tranny is still the original 727 Torqueflight, and she is a Slapstick Auto. Any y'all seen an old school 392 in an EBody before?

I had a 73 Challenger with the same motor. It was a pain to work on.

Very tight fit. Also very heavy. Lots of weight in the front end. Hard on brakes. better add a few hundred extra pounds on that weight sticker. Ever had the cars axle weight determined? Depending on where you live there are a few sources of vehicle weight scales. Large grain & feed stores, truck stops, scrap yards etc... Handy to find out what your car really weighs and how much is over the front and rear axles.

Back in my high school days, I put a 392 and the push button Torque-flite out of a 1957 New Yorker into my 1955 Ford F-100. Made my first set of headers on it.The stock rear Dana 44 didn't last long. Back then Dana 60's were plentiful and cheap. Got mine for $100. bucks, drum to drum.

Thanks MOPARLEO. I appreciate the thoughts on the weight & braking. I may take her down to a local feed store and check the weights. Great idea. I like your build on that 55 Ford F100 with the 392 Hemi!!

I had just posted looking for advice on doing just what you did. 72 Cuda w 4 speed. Had the option to get a 392 to put in it. What were the hardest problems to resolve and what do you think you spent to make it work? Great looking car. Nice job.
