Hello all, pain full as it is I'm looking to sell my project car.
1973 Dodge Challenger with Ralley package.
Matching numbers car with original millage.
340 cid with 4bbl carb
A833 4 speed manual transmission with pistol grip shift.
Factory 355 Sure Grip possi rear differential.
Rally cluster with tach and 150 mph speedo.
Go Wing
71k

The wife wanted another old farm house so the project list has changed.
I would rather pass it along then let it sit in the garage and rot away.

The car is in typical condition for the year and will require the usual work
for restoration. Front floor boards, trunk pan, deck lid etc..

I drove the car for a while but striped it down to a rolling chassis to begin restoration.
I have all the original parts that will be needed to reassemble after the body and chassis
work is complete.

I was never reissued a title when I registered the car as its not required by CT law.
They no longer issue or re-issue titles for cars older than 1981.
Check with your local DMV as you may be able to get a title from your state after a vin verification.

$7500.00

I'll work on that, won't be until tomorrow more then likely. I'll need to pull the car out of the garage again and its raining like a big dog up here.
The trunk actually isn't too bad, couple dime size holes but solid other wise.
Deck lid same deal, I was just going to have it leaded rather than replacing it.
Front floors not much to see, someone welded in some patches so you really cant see much, solid but looks like hell.
Small patch on passenger side, larger on drivers side doesn't extend under pedal area.
Dime size hole in passenger area in front of door (side firewall panel?).
Dime size rough spot drivers side rocker.
Couple small holes in firewall around brake booster, pencil eraser size
Drivers side front inner fender battery box area, maybe could be fixed but for the price of a new one not sure if it's worth it.
Seems like more small isolated areas rather than any major rot.
Overall I have seen much worse, it's a real good platform to start from.

Take care.

After looking the car over and doing some research on what similar cars are going for I have decided to drop the price down to $6500.00.
I took some more pictures of all the areas that I know of that will need work. I was disappointed to see that just from sitting that things were a little worse than when I last looked which was about 7-8 years ago.
If I were going to keep it I would just put a complete floor pan in it and take the cowl off and put either a new one on or something salvaged off another car. Whats there could be fixed but not sure if its worth the time. Just my thoughts..
Still not to bad....
Is what it is I guess.

I had a 74 Rallye that was the same Bronze. It is a great looking color with the black stripes.

Been busy over the past few months and spent a fair amount of time and money on the car and have it just about all back together and running again. Will post some picts and maybe a vid over the next couple of weeks. Just waiting for some exhaust parts to come in which should be here tomorrow. Not likely I'll make a dime off it when/if I sell it but its good to hear it run again.

Awesome. I think about your car from time to time, but am still financially challenged. Wanna buy a house in central NC? LOL

Got to be better than Connecticut....working class people get the screw put to us. Don't get me started! LOL. NC is real nice I used to go down to Jacksonville a lot for work. Real nice people down there...
Anyway here are a few more updated picts of the car. I did get a video of it running but I am still dry fitting the exhaust and it was banging around down there. I put all new front brake lines on it, new McLoud clutch, new headers and exhaust, ignition module, belts hose's plugs etc..new fancy air cleaner. To much to remember. I'm scared to look at all the Jegs and Napa receipts lol..
Also got all the electrical "issues" fixed as well.
Overall its much better off than it was when I was driving it.

New starter (not a mini starter)
New battery tray with proper brackets and hold down.
Tires are new but nothing fancy, just got tired of having to put air in the old ones every 2 days...
New Bosch gauge set
New master cylinder
New clutch fork
Engine wiring harness's
Newer Holly 600 carb
All new hoses including vacuum lines etc..
I will put in a new carpet in before I re post it for sale.
I'm sure I am forgetting something (s)...

After the exhaust all thats left is the center console, carpet and remaining front body parts.
