Hey everyone. New to this site.
Anyways has anybody used 273 adjustable rockers in a 340. If so I have heard that I need to use stock 340 T/A pushrods. Is this true? Thanks for the help

as long as you are not using T/A heads the rocker work great in any LA engine . Pushrod lenght may vary depending on lifter brand ,I recommend checking the length , you can order new sets of pushrods over night from Smith Bros in Bend Or

Hi , just wondered why you want to use adjustable rockers ? They require you to readjust from time to time, messy, not fun. those were good technology for the time but 40 + year old parts are prone to failure. Not saying that it will happen for sure but look how far metalurgy has advanced since then. Hydraulic lifters of the time were also old technology. Usually it is the cam makers who recommend what type of lifter works best. If this is a daily driver, I would go for something in a hydraulic grind. I got tired of noisy rockers that don't hold adjustment because they didnt have as good a lock nut setup as they have now, or as strong as new rockers. and who knos how many miles are on them. I would at least have a good machine shop Magnaflux the parts to make sure they are not hiding any potential problems down the road. Been there, done that . The women don't like the tapping sound either.
As Chryco Psyco says Smith Bros do excellent work, If you haven't bought your cam yet or you know the brand and grind, check with the Cam maker for recommended drive train. Every maker has a tech dept for a reason.

well it would depend what you want to do , the stamped rockers are far from accurate ratio so using mech rockers on a hyd cam does make sense to me , if you want to run a Mechanical cam they are a great rocker to use for street use , strong & durable .
