Okay rebuilding the engine. I cannot get the crankshaft bolt out. Used heat, 1400 ft lbs impact drill and soaked it over night with pb blast. Any other ideas?

Take it to a machine shop so they can drill the bolt out and extract it. You need the correct drilling machine so you don't chance ruining the crank. The home hand drill is not that machine.

If the bolt is not yet broken I would keep trying to loosen it with normal tools then if the bolt head becomes rounded or the bolt snaps get it drilled out as a last resort. What I normal do is put a long breaker bar on it while the engine is still in the car, turn the bar until it jams against the frame or the ground then disconnect the coil wire and briefly turn the motor over with the key this method never fails.

The engine is already out and broke down so that option not available. But next time I will do that before pulling it. I'll let it soak some more and try tomorrow.

Did you impact it loose or was it tight in a vice etc? If it was just loose on a bench, you were not getting the full use of the impact. The crank was moving. I would put the crank back into the block and wedge it with a peice of wood in one or more cylinders. Use the impact and I'll bet it will come loose.

Is it still in the block? This may sound crazy but it works sometimes. Hit the bolt on the top, or flat face, with a hammer; not enough to marr it, just enough to jolt it. Then try to tighten it. Then try to loosen it.

If it is still in the block and all else fails screw 2 long bolts into the flywheel bolt holes 180 degrees apart put a long pipe between the bolts and set it up so when you turn the balancer bolt in the loosening direction the pipe pushes against the ground. Get a couple of your friends to stand on the block put your breaker bar handle into another piece of pipe as an extension then pull down fast and hard on that.

If all else fails grind the head of the bolt off to pull the balancer off.

I finally got it off with a impact drill. After 4 days of soaking and everything else it gave in. Thanks for all the help.

That's great news mate, when you assemble the motor put some Locktite anti sieze on the bolt thread and tighten it to the specified torque setting and if you need to remove it again you shouldn't have anymore problems.
