Is there a decent rubber US made engine mounts apart from the Shumacher
All the ones i buy from Abay tear out in days appear to have a large amount of glass beads added to make the rubber go further very powdery consistency after good old pure rubber
will use torque strap
The shumacher seem to create more vibration & tear out end ways instead running around 550 hp

You don't give details like is it a manual transmission car and are you driving it in a normal, reasonable fashion or doing burnouts ? Their aren't any stock mounts that are designed to hold up to any type of abuse. They are rubber for a reason. The reason ? How about less engine vibration felt in the passenger compartment. Like the saying goes" speed cost money, how fast do you want to go?" If you go for a torque strap don't forget to also run a poly trans mount to limit total driveline movement. How much horsepower really? It is torque that breaks things, not horsepower. One cheap fix is to drill a hole straight through the mount and put a bolt through it. The mount, not the mount plates. That should stop any unwanted engine torque movement.

Street strip 3.79 molnar crank &rods JE Pistons , Dual quad fast fuel ,4 bolt splayed mains ported E/Q heads 727 Street fighter trans.
Yes definitely a torque issue.
Looks like the 73 74 used the enclosed spool mounts on the k frame do they have a problem seeing they are are captured system even if the rubber fails it can only move 1/2"or so I see a few K frames coming up cheap already have the poly trans mount .
A friend has the bolt in the mount but the whole car vibrates.

E bodies never used the spool mount , A body switched over in 73 .
the replacement mounts are not even as good as originals , often made in India in small batches , they are crap .
Mancini has 2 different types of interlocking mounts but even those can fail .
I have used a 7" piece of steel strap 1/8 thick & 1 " wide & just gone across from the engine ear to the mount cross bolt , this is invisable & completely effective as a torque strap & costs far less too .

Great idea the thin strap would retain the engine under load & stop transmitting most of engine mechanical noise to the chassis
My captured rubber while not pretty seem to be handling the torque for now

Be careful Brian I have heard of blocks being damaged by solid engine mounts so don't make it too stiff, easier to replace a torn mount then a torn engine block.

Absolutely. Next step is motor plate. But I digress. Torque strap of any type is better than nothing. You can go as far as you wish. Your car.
They are actually quite soft good range of movement (OFF the old Lincoln diesel SAE400 amp welders) i have a laser cutter so i was going to try putting longer studs in the 1st & 2nd outside head bolt hole rather than swing any more off the engine mounts
