I'm wishing to convert automatic column shift to a floor console. I have the console, shifter and now bracket but can't find a diagram or instructions on where to weld to tunnel, shifter cut location etc.. can someone direct me to share information on what is required. Assistance is greatly appreciated and valued.

There is no Diagram that I know of. There is a measurements that I posted awhile back. Look to see it. I'll post a link if I find it.

You didn't mention what year you're working on or if you have the correct steering column without the "PRNDL" on it. If you weren't aware there's collars available to change column steering columns to floor shift steering columns. Vans Auto is one place that has them.

Hello my friends, the floor pan holes have been filled in. Today's goal is to cut the round access point for the floor shifter linkage below and finish grinding off the pan junk ending with fresh painting of the pan.

We're then needing to move to removing the steering column. Thanks to the wisdom and kindness of this forum members, I have enough information to jump in although I know as a virgin fiddler it will not be easy.

My question is ... so when I remove the column and remove the shifter selector/indicator, what replaces that gap on the column? Is there a specific name for this "dummy column section" for me to try and find?

I'm confused about what "gap". If you bought the 3 piece CHZSTR070 there should be no gap to speak of.

When you converted your floor pan by adding the trans hump, I hope you kept the section of the original floor to keep the cross member covered. Otherwise road debris gets in there.
