These are reproductions of an original NOS pair that are in my posession. These were used on the `70 Challenger A66 340 performance package on the early production cars. I don't know if anybody really knows when they switched over to the emblems. My car was built November 13th of `69 and I just recently got confirmation from the previous owner that he remembers the hood had a 340 decal that he had never seen before. In fact he told me he even went so far as to contact Galen Govier for more info when he could find no info on his own. The guy I am refering to is a noted E-body restorer and has become quite an expert over the last 30+ years.
That being said, these are not being reproduced by anybody else at this point and I have 4 pair immediately available and am ready to take orders for however many you want.
$40 per pair mailed to you anywhere in the lower 48, extra postage may apply outside the continental U.S.
The first picture is one that I took of an original last year at the Nats on a B5 convertible. In order for you to get a good comparison I mounted one on a piece of a similar blue vinyl and those are the pics that follow the first.

340 A66 convert

Thanks Bill, enjoy and please post some pics when you have them on your car.
Are the 340 hood decals still available?
I have a 70 340 convert in banana yellow w 340 package and have faded decals on the power hood. Owned the car since 1980. Automatic, rally dash, 15in rally wheels, disc brakes w power, power top, black interior w black bumble stripe. Grill was silver. Has Rear sway bar & no V8 fender emblems. Always thought the decals were strange till I found this thread. Car was built October 1969.

Thank you in checking for me. I am starting to gather parts for a restoration. Car has been off the road in a garage since 1984. Still ran great when I prepped it to start about 12 years ago. Car avatar does not rep present condition. Needs the usual trunk floor, w some patches at bottom of rear quarters, otherwise solid. I bought original sheet metal and other parts in the 1980's and stored them. I still have NOS fenders, floor and center trunk sections. I will take some current shots and post.

Please do, I am very interested in these A66 cars. Have you registered this car in any registries? If not, you should. Do you have the fender tag and build sheet for the car? I didn't think the early cars got the rear sway bar yet. My hardtop is a November built car and didn't have one and I know at some point they all got them because of the negative reviews the cars were getting as far as the handling was concerned. Is yours a Detroit or LA built car?

Did it have the R/T emblems on the fenders since you can remember, what about on the grille? I'm asking because mine did too.

When I purchased the car in 1980, it had RT emblems on both fenders & Grill. It had mostly original paint and a decent shine. It has a fender tag, no build sheet, still haven't looked under the carpet, checked the usual spots (under glove box, back of seats). Tag confirms A66 status. The sway bar had no undercoat on the brackets (rest of area did) so I think it was added in the 70's. The build date is 10/06/1969 (A06). Car is Hamtramck built. Tag as follows: e55, d32, JH27HOB, FY1, H6X9, A06, V3X, A01, A62, A66, B51, C16, C55, G34, N41, N42, N85, P37, R11, V9X, Y05, 26. end . I'm working on some digital shots to post.

Hope all is well in your universe. I have the yellow 70 340 convert with the flat decals on the hood. Finally got around to cleaning out the garage enough to actually see the car. Took your advice and finally took some pics, car has been off the road since 1984. After cleaning, the paint on the hood still has a decent shine. If you still have copies of the flat 340 hood decals to sell, they would be greatly appreciated. You have a really rare and great looking 71 Butterscotch Challenger; saw the photos. It looks like you decided to sell the A66 hardtop. Looks like a great project for someone, so good luck with the sale. The fact that you are providing many hard to get parts should help someone do up the car.

1970 340 Challenger convert

Photos of the 1970 yellow A66 340 Challenger convert in storage since the early 1980's . Just starting to look at a restoration. When I took it off the road back then, I was using the car as my basic transportation. Had the RT emblem on the grill when I bought the car in 1980. Car is an automatic w rally dash, PDB, rear sway bar and factory 15 in wheels.Dino pic 24.jpgDino pic 21.jpgDino pic 1.jpgDino pic 17.jpg:read::read:

The car looks great even as a project, thanks for getting around to getting some current pics up. What a beauty that one must have been and will be again I hope soon. I will have to get more decals made up before/if I sell mine. Thanks for the compliments on my vert, it kind of trumps my A66 among several other projects and my buisness. I'm not going to give it away though...
I'll let you know when I get more decals made up.
