The dash paneling for a '70 Challenger is specific for that year"ribbed". I am able to locate a standard cluster. What I would like to know is, will the clear lens for all years fit the ribbed plastic?

Thanks,Sheldon.

FYI. The housing that holds the gauges is 70 Challenger only with the ribbed dash. 70 challenger gauges with the wood trim use the same housing as 70-74 Cuda or 71-74 Challenger. The difference is the pods for the warning lights. 70 ribbed are short and all the others use the long pods.

Thanks for the info. The pods are built into the ribbed housing,is that correct? Will the later housings that holds the gauges fit this ribbed panel? Please excuse me, I'm new to the E body world and I'm trying to gather up enough stuff to build a '70 dash. The gauges look closer together on the '70? E-body_Standard.jpg

I don't have any pics right now. It is midnght here. What I mean by housing is the gray pot metal frame. See the three warning lights below the gauges? The 70 ribbed has them further back than the other unit you have pictured.

I have a nice gauge cluster laying around from a '70 Challenger.

The gauges aren't any closer together it's just the detail around each gauge on the bezel is wider making them look that way.
