71 Challenger RT - Hood blackout decal

Can anyone confirm that Dodge offered a the hood blackout decal for the 71 Challenger RT? Most of the 71's that I've seen just have the "R/T" decal as did my '71. I'm nearing the end of a 2 year restoration and would like to go with the blackout decal but only if it was a ligitimate option in '71. I know Pheonix Graphics offers it, but I just want to be sure before I buy one.
