Well my 73 Cuda restoration has gotten out of control so I decided to sell some of my inventory to help with the finances and this is one of them. Its in great condition and all the features work as they should. The push buttons have some chrome peeling as you can see in the pictures. This Radio was actually in my 73 Cuda when I purchased it many years ago and did work when I took it out quite a few years back. I can't figure out why it had 2 jumper wires on the pins in the Cassette pigtail that fell out but I didn't think much of them at the time. I'm not sure what they did but now without them, when hooked up to a Speaker you can hear the radio turn on but it gets no stations. I did have a antenna mount plugged into the port but it had no mast screwed into the mount. I still have the jumper wires but I didn't want to mess with them in fears I would screw something up. Anyway I was told to price it at $1000 Plus shipping. Please don't beat me up to bad if you think its over priced. Thanks for looking.

the reason you can't hear anything playing is because you need a radio shorting plug that plugs onto the pigtail on the back of the radio when cassette player is not connected. the plug completes the circuit that the cassette player completes when pluged in.

That is why it had jumper wires. The cap that goes over the pigtail has internal jumper wires. You need to look up the pigtail connector pinouts to see what are right and left channel and ground for the speakers on the pigtail. I think it is a 7-pin DIN connector.

BTW, not sure where you got your radio value. It is expensive, but I think a fairly priced one of these would be closer to $500 - $600.

Hoo
Thanks for the info. I figured it might have something to do with that pigtail cap. It is a 7 pin connector and I'll try to find the pin schematic on the web somewhere.
