72-4 Barracuda Nos Reverse lens differences

Hi guys I have 2 nos reverse lenses for a 72-4 Cuda. One has a light diffuser and one doesn’t. They are both the same part number and dated in boxes 7-76. Did one year have the diffuser and another didn’t? Any help is appreciated and as usual Thanks in advance!

thats wierd,made me go look at the tote full i have,and all have the outer diffuser,my guess is the one without would be an early 72 and they probly changed it through the year,you know how they would change things on a whim.nobody probably noticed do to the housing being on them,had to look inside the plug hole to notice the diffuser

Thanks was trying to find out when they changed and that makes sense. Wanted to know if anyone else ever noticed. I even asked Chet Greenwood a few weeks ago about it and he said he only ever had nos ones without the diffuser…He currently has one on eBay without it.
