I have a '72 Barracuda with E55 Engine Code and D13 Trans Code. When I decode this it says it was equipped with a 340 4bbl and a 3 speed Manuel Trans on the floor. Is this the correct Trans for this vehicle ??? I wasn't aware of a 3spd Manuel can someone clarify this for me?

3 spd manual was the standard trans, 4spd & the automatic were extra cost options.
That makes it 1 of 25 according to Galen's white book. There were 390 E55 Barracudas built, 27 were 4 spds and the other 338 were automatics. You have a very rare car there, too bad it wasn't one of the 4 spds then it would be rare and more desirable. Not that your car isn't desirable as a 3 spd...
