727 Trans Gear Linkage

Hi All, it’s been a rough few months, but I am working on the Barracuda again.
- As you may remember, I swapped out the 318 / 904 for a Blue Print Engines 360, and bought the accompanying HP 727 Trans.
- I’m trying to install the gear linkage under the car. But, I don’t believe what I took off the 904 will work on this 727.
- The “adjustable swivel” that attaches to the “gear selector” in the transmission just doesn’t look correct.
- The Lower Rod (from the Torque Shaft Assembly” to the Adjustable Swivel) is several inches too low
- do I need a different linkage setup?

That lever on the trans is upside down. Thats why it wont go on all the way.

The diagrams and adjustment procedure is in the Factory Service Manual that everyone should have before they service their car. And there are free downloads if you don't.
