Hi All,

Just wanted to know if these door mirrors on my Cuda are the factory one's?

Chrome base and black plastic.
Thanks
Al

Wow ok.
Will my broadcast sheet have the code for the correct one's?

Yes it will and your fender tag should too iirc although if no codes are shown then no optional mirrors were ordered and it'll just have the standard driver's side chrome mirror.

Any idea what the code should be on the fender tag?

Thank's quapman.

It may be difficult to work out as from what I can see the number 2 key was not working that day?

The 2 is missing after the BS and also the VIN has a 2 in it.

Notice below the outside left manual mirror was standard on both models and pictured above. I'm thinking that's what your car had although I can't really read your build sheet but I think optional mirrors would have been on the tag.

The optional mirror is on the fender tag. It is there because two holes and two threaded studs need added to the passenger door. This car came with the standard round mirror. The mirrors on it are 80's style aftermarket replacement mirrors. They sell on Ebay. People still want them. The tool, if needed, to mount the studs in the door is available at Harbor Freight Tools. Most aftermarket mirrors were not mounted with the studs. Most I have seen used a self tapping sheet metal screw.

I got this quite a few years ago with some other E-body parts so I'm assuming this is the standard non remote mirror.

Nope, that's a later 70s F & B body mirror.

The base is the only difference. The E unit has exposed screws. Here is the E body mirror.
