Guys,
Will a 904 out of a 1973 B-Body Road Runner (has long tail shaft) work in my '73 Cuda? I am thinking the E body used a shorter tail shaft. Thanks!

Tail shafts are interchangeable. Just get the length you need.
As I am looking around, didn't the 904 only come with one tail shaft housing length and the 727 had several different ones? I guess what I am wondering is if the RR 904 would be a direct fit into my Cuda without changing tail shafts?

Maybe, but since it is not a numbers matching deal why not upgrade to a 727... how many miles are on that 73 B-body 904? Does it need rebuilding?

Thanks guys. The car originally came with a 318 and a 904. My buddy has the 904 (it's free) and it came out of a '73 Road runner that also had a 318. I have another friend who will go through it for me. We were just not sure of the extension housing length being the same on the two cars. If it would not work, then I would look for a 727.
