I have a gearbox with the following code stamped into the raised area.
Can anyone decode the first line?????

RM23H9G12814
PP833 2581 0205

rm23h9g is a believe a 69 road runner!
pp833 is
pp-new process
833-type of tranny
2581-is build date of 10,000 calendar year so that's August 21st,1968
0205-i believe is the 205 tranny built that day!

Thank you both for the info.
I bought it off a guy who removed it from a 1970 Barracuda convertible running a 318.
He said it was a good gearbox so I may use it as the earlier boxes have wide ratio gear sets from info I have read.

It does have the dual mount tail shaft I did research enough to know that was the type I needed for my E body. Made sure that was on there before I bought it.
You could be right may have been swapped at some stage in the past.
