For sale is A833 Four Speed Transmission Cluster Gear- close ratio (2.47)type, hard to find and in excellent condition. Tooth count is 30-26-23-17-17. Installed in the 71-74 close ratio style A833. $125 obo

Other than turning the input and watching the output rotation, are there numbers on the case to ID mine ?
I will be tearing into mine soon.

Three obvious indicators 1. long tail housing w two shifter location options 2. 4.35 OD input bearing retainer. 3. A rectangular ID pad of the trans main body - if all 3 exist then there is prob a 95% chance you have the small block close ratio A833 w 2.47 first gear, which this cluster will fit
