Any one use heat sheath

Since I have rubber hoses from fuel pump to carb was looking at heat sheathing , anyone use this and is it worth it , also what power steering fluid y'all use , thanks for any info .

I've used heat sheathing on spark plug wires with headers. I think it helps.

If it's a Saginaw pump, Prestone power steering fluid at Walmart. If TRW or Federal, those use transmission fluid if I remember correctly.

Used it on fuel lines near the motor to prevent Vapor Lock problems I experienced. The heat sheathing was rated at 2000 degrees and kept the fuel line from heating up.

Engine Masters had an episode on this, they said it didn’t help at all.

I would think it has to provide some heat protection. Maybe not enough in some situations, but even aluminum tape will reflect some heat from surfaces.
