installed tray. attaches to rad frame and a bracket on the bottom. there are 3 holes in the tray. ? do nuts and bolts go in these holes and what kind???
ok. thanksThe centre hole is a drainage hole - there should also be a hole in the inner fender to align with it.
The outer two have bolts ( 5/16 ) through them that thread in to captive nuts in the inner fender. There are holes and slits for the captive nuts to go in the inner fender.
The long battery hook goes to a hole in the side of the battery tray.
The short hook goes to a hole in the inner fender above the battery tray.
did not know that--would have to buy some paintAnd unless you have proof the original wasn't painted body color, it should be painted body color. The problem is after 30 or 40 years, the tray and bracket underneath get enough acid to rust the paint away and it tray is rusty brown colored.
problem. that area rusted out. hand to cut it out and had a new piece fabricated. no holes or capture nuts. now all I have to do is drill holes and paint tray. found online rattle can b5 blue. thanks for infook. thanks
