still tryin two figure out how to post im better with a wrench than this lap top can i change oil pump pickup tube with motor in car or does it have to come out ive had pan and tray off before cant rember if theres is room to swing tube got a 8 qt moroso want to put on hemi pan i need the ground clerance

In my opinion... it is easier and faster to just pull the engine, that to fight tiring to work under the car, as well as working in tight spaces.
By the time you disconnect everything you need to get the engine high enough to clear the pan it's almost out, plus you have a larger than stock pan and it might be even harder to get clearance.

If you drop the steering centre link the pan will come off fairly easy, then there is room to unscrew the pickup tube. I just had the pan off my stock 440 to replace the pan gaskets, its easier on a hoist but I did it with the car on jack stands. I didn't have to undo mounts or anything other than the centre link.
My Cuda is a 6pack so it basically has the Hemi pan with the skid plate on the crossmember
