Ok I am new to my challenger. Under the drivers seat outside of the car there is a box. My speedo cable from my gauge goes in and then another cable comes out to my transmissions speedo gear. Any ideas on what it is?

Sounds like it could be part of an aftermarket cruise control unit. Post a pic.

I will take some once I get back to land. The thing that confuses me is there is nothing else connected to this box. if it was cruise wouldn't need to be another line or something? I do believe it is after market because the mount is just some angle iron wielded and drilled

Another guess would be a reducer or accelerator to make the speedometer read correctly.
