Brake pedal spring

I'm presently putting a '70 challenger back together and need a little advice.
I have a spring that I had tagged " brake return spring " . This is an auto trans car.
I can't find an obvious place on the brake pedal arm to install a return spring.
Is the spring for the break pedal or is it for the emergency brake pedal ???

Your advice would certainly be appreciated.

If it is the spring for the brake pedal linkage on a power brake application it clips onto the pedal linkage push rod on one end and to the top of the brake pedal metal bracket on the other end. As Leo mentioned a pic would be good so we know for sure.

But is there supposed to be a spring on my 73 cuda 340 auto car. Car came with power disc brakes & drums in back

Im putting my 70 challenger back together also. I do not have this spring. Do I need it? Where can I get one? What does it do?

As far as I can tell, the spring keeps the bake pedal arm up and maintains pressure
on the brake lights switch.

I don't think the mopar dealers could help so it's a visit to the auto wrecker.

This is a real simple assembly so I'm guessing that all mopars from that era had that
kind of an installation.
