Is there any significance in the terms Clone vs. Recreation vs. Tribute? or are they interchangeable?

if so, what do you call these examples?
Making a model year look like another year? (ex: 74 to 70 or 71).
Changing the engine to more desirable one (ex: 225 to 440+6).
Changing multiple features to more desirable features but staying "factory correct"

Just semantics.
It takes much more than an engine change to be any of the above as there are many more things different than the engine on any given model.
It is just a car with a different engine. No special name. Just modified.

My Cuda was originally a Gran Coupe but I put it back together as a Cuda. I call it a Cuda 'clone'.
