I forgot to put the clutch fork on the trans prior to installation onto the engine. Is there a trick to getting it in place without having to pull the trans again?

Is the release bearing installed already? If so , there should be room to get it onto the bearing collar and clipped into the pivot bracket, located on the inside of the bell housing.

I know my hand will not fit , I can reach the lower clip & often get lucky forcing the top clip onto the fork , it is possible but may take some time to get it connected

You can do it but its a real PITA.................remove the fork boot for more access and employ a small handed person, a child will do nicely.
If you really can't quite do it then remember not to remove the b/housing, just take out the 4 trans to b/house bolts ,mount, drop the prop and slide the box back enough to get the input shaft tip exposed, pretty quick job actually :)

Well it only took me 10 mins to place my 440 and trans into the car from my cherry picker. I think I will take out the 2 motor mount bolts and 2 trans crossmember bolts out and pull the engine and trans out again and do it in front of the car rather than from underneath. Then I will put the engine and trans right back in. I have an awesome cherry picker that will lift up to 12 feet in the air. it was designed and built by a NASA engineer that loved cars.
