Clutch pedal rod.

Hopefully an easy question...
On the clutch pedal rod does the off set go towards the torque rod or towards the clutch pedal?
The service manual doesn't give a clear image where I could see. Searched the forum and Google but couldn't find this information.
Its a 73 E-body with a small block.

It's easy, the offset always goes away from the Z bar.
If it didn't there would be interference between the two as the operating rod folds up against the Z bar arm.
