Complete assembled 1970 340 engine

Complete, assembled 1970 340, cast date 5-6-70, build date May 25, 1970, block casting # 2780930-340, front left stamping FW340P32230391, pan rail serial number 0R317239, J heads with correct valve covers, 3462848 cast iron intake. Correct 4935S Carter carb that works freely. Has a Prestolite distributor with single points that doesnt show up in lists. This is a fully assembled engine that has been sitting in covered storage for over 40 years and was pulled from a running car in the early 70's. It turns over easily by hand and has been steam cleaned to verify numbers. You could probably plug it in and run it as-is.

I'm not in KS and not in the market for a 340; but I wanted to say that if this is what you say then I think the price is extremely fair and would make a great deal for someone.

Hey, thanks for that. Im already filthy stinking rich (ha,BS) so I priced it to sell. I have been advised that its worth quite a bit more, but I just need it to go to somebody that has been looking for one, and hasnt had the $2500 that they are usually priced at. I personally wouldnt do it without at least some minor disassembly, but I wouldnt doubt that it could be used with nothing more than a carb rebuild.

You would think somebody in Pittsburgh would buy it. However, the Craigslist package isnt too bad of a deal either if you need all that stuff and trust whom you are buying it from.
