First post. Happy to join. Looking to confirm the correct Holley carb for my 1971 Dodge Challenger convertible 383 Shaker 4 speed.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!
Looks like there may be 2 or it’s a misprint. I don’t know what the “L” in front of the N96 stands for on the top one and there’s no bold 2 digit part number on either.
good luck on your search and post up some pics of your car when you can.

Always glad to share pics. This car has been garaged since this pic. Only started the car every few months. Just started to get back into the restoration. Used to be an 70-71 E-Bodies only parts guy. Had 6 spaces at Englishtown for many years. Went to Carlisle with a buddy last week for the first time in decades. I saw a lot of old friends from the past. Hope the forum can help me track down the parts I need for this car. It's good to be back.

DetMatt1 - Thanks for the Holley carb list post on 7/16/22. Attached is a Holley carb list my buddy Ed Gomez gave me lat night. It is almost identical to the list you provided. It appears the “L” in front of the N96 stands for "Less" and the "W" stands for "With", which is probably what we presumed it to be. But we are still puzzled why there are two listings for the same 71 383 4 barrel manual with fesh air - R4137 & R6193.

I forgot to mention that my broadcast sheet says "49". So based on DetMatt1's list, I am looking for an R4734 (sorry for the typo above).

I believe one of those carbs never existed, I cant remember which one. There was a big discussion on Moparts years ago about it m46rat would know. I am pretty sure the Holley list 6193 is the one you need, usually the date code is around 210th day of '70. A very hard carb to find with the correct solenoid and bracket.
